I can use: P3 color because my monitor is 99% P3 and it is widest? sRGB color because most of monitor/phone screen has a 100% of sRGB? use … Read more
My Indesign document needs to be printed with a spot color. I have a svg-logo which is supposed to have this exact spot color.
I’m a graphic designer but I’ve a weak point. I quite don’t know the names of these colors.

I’ve been trying to figure out color management (mostly in InDesign, but this question is more general) in a print production workflow in more detail recently.
I sent an email to ask a few questions to a printing shop about some gaming cards I want to print but I’m not sure I understood the answers they gave me.
I have not given this too much thought until recently, when a bit of a back and forth happened with a client. So, when I start a new document in InDesign, for CMYK print, how to I know how to setup the color settings ?
I’m working on a project in Photoshop in CMYK. I exported my rendered tif file in 2 image viewers and they don’t look the same. Windows image viewer shows the same as in Photoshop but ACDSee shows different colors. I tried changing color profiles in ACDSee but it doesn’t change anything after restarting the program and reloading the file. It still looks off.
I just read a good book on DTP.
