I have an web application that I’m working on, it was working fine until my curiosity got the better of me and I right-clicked on a view and chose Set As Start Page option. Now, whenever I run my application it takes me to the Resource Not Found error page. I have the default register route set in my Global config route which was working fine before. I have an editor that lets users add HTML that is stored in the database and rendered on a web page. Since this is untrusted input, I plan to use Microsoft.Security.Application.AntiXsSS.GetSafeHtmlFragment to sanitize the HTML.

I’m very new to ASP.NET and, after beating my head on a few problems, I’m wondering if I’m doing things wrong (I’ve got a bad habit of doing that). I’m interested in learning about how ASP.NET operates.
We’ve got a page with a ton of jQuery (approximately 2000 lines) that we want to trim down b/c it is a maintenance nightmare, and it might be easier to maintain on the server. We’ve thought about using UpdatePanel for this. However, we don’t like the fact that the UpdatePanel is sending the whole page back to the server.
We’ve used the no-longer-supported RichTextBox control as part of our (ASP.NET-based) CMS for a long time, and we’d like to replace it with something lighter-weight and with better cross-browser support.
