An ASP.NET 3.5 webapp has to start several tasks that takes hours to complete. For obvious reasons the pages which starts these tasks cannot wait for them to finish nor will anyone want to wait that long to get a response, so the tasks must be asynchronous.
I’m having a problem where users on mobile devices are encountering an error in MVC that does not occur when viewing the site on a regular desktop. I can consistently reproduce the error by using Chrome’s developer tools and applying any other UA than the default.

I’m trying to use Windows Authentication in my ASP.NET application. Whenever I try to view the app it sends me to a login page. How can I make it work without having to manually login via the browser?
At work we were encountering a problem where the original object was changed after we send a copy through a method. We did find a workaround by using IClonable in the original class, but as we couldn’t find out why it happened in the first place.
To be clear: This does not only happen for some method(s), it happens for every exception that we log. So I would rule out (JIT) optimizations here, that might lead to line numbers being seemingly randomly off. What bothers me is, that the wrong line numbers seem to consistently point to the closing curly brackets of the containing method.
I was wondering if there was some sort of cheat sheet for which objects go well with the using statement… SQLConnection, MemoryStream, etc.
I have code sample here, I can save as a PDF file directly but what I want to do is to show client first pdf file, and allow users to save it. How do I achieve this?
