DropDownList’s SelectedIndexChanged event not firing
I have a DropDownList object in my web page. When I click on it and select a different value, nothing happens, even though I have a function wired up to the SelectedIndexChanged event.

I have a DropDownList inside an UpdatePanel that is populated on postback from a SqlDataSource. It has a parameter which is another control. I sometimes need multiple postbacks, but what happens is that each time the update panel refreshes, items are added to the DropDownList. So the DropDownList ends up having data that is incorrect, or repeated data.

I have an ASP DropDownList that gets populated on the Page_Load event, after i select an item and hit a button the selected item gets cleared and the first item in the DropDownList gets selected. (The DropDownList is only populated when the page is not postback)

Percentage calculation
I am working in progress bar concept in ASP.NET MVC 2. Here i have a DropDownList which has 10 values. i want to calculate the percentage for progress bar, e.g. 10 values from DropDownList and i am having a query which returns the value 2. so, out of 10 values i am getting 2. “20 % completed” should be displayed.. How to do this calculation
