I have to stitch the images captured from many (9) cameras. Initially, I tried to capture the frames from 2 cameras with rate 15 FPS. Then, I connected 4 cameras (I also used externally powered USB hub to provide enough power) but I could only see only one stream.
I have a Python program that spawns many threads, runs 4 at a time, and each performs an expensive operation. Pseudocode:

I’m having much trouble trying to understand just how the multiprocessing queue works on python and how to implement it. Lets say I have two python modules that access data from a shared file, let’s call these two modules a writer and a reader. My plan is to have both the reader and writer put requests into two separate multiprocessing queues, and then have a third process pop these requests in a loop and execute as such.
It seems that my numpy library is using 4 threads, and setting OMP_NUM_THREADS=1 does not stop this.
How can I start and stop a thread with my poor thread class?
I have a single big text file in which I want to process each line ( do some operations ) and store them in a database. Since a single simple program is taking too long, I want it to be done via multiple processes or threads.
Each thread/process should read the DIFFERENT data(different lines) from that single file and do some operations on their piece of data(lines) and put them in the database so that in the end, I have whole of the data processed and my database is dumped with the data I need.
I have a thread class “MyThread” and my main application which is simply called “Gui”. I want to create a few objects from the thread class but for this example I created only one object. The thread class does some work, then emits a signal to the Gui class, indicating that a user input is needed (this indication for now is simply changing the text of a button). Then the thread should wait for a user input (in this case a button click) and then continue doing what it is doing…
