I am in process of sending the file along with HttpWebRequest. My file will be from FileUpload UI. Here I need to convert the File Upload to filestream to send the stream along with HttpWebRequest. How do I convert the FileUpload to a filestream?
I’m using Filestream for read big file (> 500 MB) and I get the OutOfMemoryException.
I have a DataTable that i want to convert it to xml and then zip it, using DotNetZip. finally user can download it via Asp.Net webpage.

I’m working on a project where I need to send large audio files via streams from a client to a server. I’m using the ASP.NET Web Api to communicate between client and server. My client has a “SendFile” method which I believe works fine, but I don’t know how to make my server receive the data I’m sending via a stream. My client code looks like this so far:
Could anyone please tell me how could I stream a pdf to a new tab browser? I just have the pdf stream on memory and I want when I click over the link to show the PDF in a new tab or window browser.

The users have requested the option to “download” a csv file representation of GridView contents. Does anyone know how to do this without saving the file to the server but rather just streaming it to the user from memory?

Requests is a really nice library. I’d like to use it for downloading big files (>1GB).
The problem is it’s not possible to keep whole file in memory; I need to read it in chunks. And this is a problem with the following code:
I have a view that generates data and streams it in real time. I can’t figure out how to send this data to a variable that I can use in my HTML template. My current solution just outputs the data to a blank page as it arrives, which works, but I want to include it in a larger page with formatting. How do I update, format, and display the data as it is streamed to the page?
I’m using python’s ftplib to write a small FTP client, but some of the functions in the package don’t return string output, but print to stdout. I want to redirect stdout to an object which I’ll be able to read the output from.
