Trying figure out how I can use some SQL/$wpdb->query to delete all the terms from a taxonomy that are related to specific post IDs. The following works beautifully to delete all the terms from a specific taxonomy, but I need to modify it to only remove ones associated with specific post IDs as mentioned.
Is there a (simple?) way to test if a taxonomy has at least one tag that is used on more than one page?
The goal is to have a structure like this: example.com/tax_1/tax_2/post_name
My question is simple, I’m using WP_Query to retrieve some custom type posts filtering by a taxonomy using tax_query.
Is there an easy way to query for any posts that is tagged with any term from a particular taxonomy?
I have an interesting problem which I hope someone can quickly answer.
I’ve been reading the codex for WordPress closely and am confused about the vague definitions between what a Taxonomy is and what a Category is. For that matter, term is also a word that is used in the description of Taxonomies, but seems used in a manner that hints that it isn’t solely limited to a Taxonomy.
I am using register_taxonomy_for_object_type() to add the Category taxonomy field to Media uploads (attachments). I’m using this code to do so:
WordPress 3.5 changed the media management and now the Media Library edit screen uses the default post type UI. Taxonomies are very useful for WP installs with different users and attachments, giving more possibilities to find the attachment and/or add classification.
Im using the following code to get an array of children taxonomies and write them out with links in an unordered list.
