I’m writing a post approval utility for the front end, because we don’t want our editor to be able to access the admin dashboard. There are questions on Stack nearly identical to what I’m trying to accomplish, but that guy’s problem has to do with the infinite loop issue. Otherwise, he claims his code works:
I made a custom post type, named “Foglalás”. Each post in the Foglalás post type has neither title nor permalink. All of them are kind of Auto Draft after saving. So, I would like to get the post ID and set it to be the title and permalink as well. I use the following code:
I want to publish post from php for automation reasons with dynamic data and cronjob.
Is it possible within the save_post action to determine whether it’s a new post being created or an existing post being update?

I’m using this bit to insert/update a custom post type from the front-end. The date is set from a custom jquery datepicker.
I’ve searched around a bit, and I’m having trouble finding an answer to this question. What I’m trying to do is automatically fill a custom field when a post (custom post type) is updated or published. Ideally the completed script will call out to an API and fill the custom field with the resulting information whenever a post is created or updated. For right now though, I’m just trying to automatically fill my custom field with a simple string for testing. Here’s my code:

I have a custom meta box, using WPAlchemy, in which I am looking to get rid of. However, I would like to get all posts that have a specific custom meta value set, and insert it into the begininning of the post content, then delete the meta value.
