How to include externally hosted images into a gallery block

When editing a text I cannot start the line with “-” because it is converted to list automatically. Sometimes, yes, this is what I need. But, when I want to keep the text as paragraph how can I use the editor to have the line starting with “-“?
My goal is for a dynamic Gutenberg Block to work. To find where I go wrong, I reverted it to a static block to check that the attributes save properly, and it works just fine. I also commented out the php side of things so that won’t affect anything.
It is an old site made before the new block editor arrives. Now it’s running WP 5.0.11, and I do not want to make an upgrade right now for various reasons.
I use a default custom image block in all my articles in 3 blogs, aligned left, link to media file.

Following up on this question, I want to remove some of the default (core) embed blocks in the WordPress block editor. As of WordPress 5.6, the blocks are no longer available under the core-embed/* namespace.
