For ASP.Net application deployment what type of information (if any) are you storing in the machine.config?
I read somewhere (sorry don’t exactly remember the source) that facebook has release Tuesdays. They release the new features to their internal employees first, then to a small set of external users and then to the whole world. I believe google also does something similar
I use a System.Timers.Timer in my Asp.Net application and I need to use the HttpServerUtility.MapPath method which seems to be only available via HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath.
The problem is that HttpContext.Current is null when the Timer.Elapsed event fires.
Have this anything to do with the client? I mean, If I set the AspNetCompatibilityRequirements to required. Is the wcf still accessible from mobile devices like WP7, android and ios?

I am actually migrating websites to ASP.NET 4.0, having problems with the new rendering of menu controls. My websites make heavy use of nested menus. Hover effects are used and the layout is defined by a combination of themes and skins with linked CSS.
I have an web application that I’m working on, it was working fine until my curiosity got the better of me and I right-clicked on a view and chose Set As Start Page option. Now, whenever I run my application it takes me to the Resource Not Found error page. I have the default register route set in my Global config route which was working fine before.
