I’m not sure if I’m just misunderstanding how Observers work in Laravel or if I’m doing something incorrectly. I’m currently running on Laravel 6, though this application is currently in the process of being upgraded by another team.
I would like to be able to run some functionality with a module that I am building whenever a customer registers an account, but I can’t seem to find any event that is fired upon a new customer registration.
I tried to register my ObserverHelper in the AppServiceProvider as below, but I am getting the following error.
I am not sure how best to do this. I need access to is_dirty() to check if specific fields were changed which needs to be done in the ‘Updating’ method in the observer. But I only want to act on it if the update is successful.
I realise this question has to do with event-handling and i’ve read about Python event-handler a dispatchers, so either it did not answer my question or i completely missed out the information.
However it does lack flexibility.
