Python passes references-to-objects by
value (like Java), and everything in
Python is an object. This sounds
simple, but then you will notice that
some data types seem to exhibit
pass-by-value characteristics, while
others seem to act like
pass-by-reference… what’s the deal?

If I pass a dataframe to a function and modify it inside the function, is it pass-by-value or pass-by-reference?
I would like to emulate the pass-by-value behaviour in python. In other words, I would like to make absolutely sure that the function I write do not modify user supplied data.
