I’m setting up a WordPress Network and wanted all new sites to have the same permalink structure (i.e. “/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/”). I’m wondering if this is possible to do via hooks or hacks in functions.php, without having to rely on users to choose that structure.
What’s the best way to ensure that post and page slugs use underscores instead of hyphens, without needing to edit the slug manually (or updating the page manually)
I’ve created a custom taxonomy “foo” with rewrite slug “foo” and query_var “foo”.
I am currently looking at creating a new type of site archive within WordPress that allows users to filter by category AND by year rather than the default category OR year.
Just wondering, how can remove slugs from some URLS. I’m using a custom post type called exhibitors, and some taxonomies to define those exhibitors (eg: featured-guests, publishers etc.):

The posts in the website I’m currently working on have multiple hierarchical categories applied to each of them. For instance:
I currently have an ID of a page that I want to use its permalink as the front of a permastruct of a CPT I’m setting up.
Curently if we use the insert link dialog to insert a link to another post, WordPress always use the permalink of that post. The problem is when we change permalink structure, that link will be broken.
I have created a custom post type with custom taxonomies. Now I need help with the permalinks.
