I understand that post ID’s are unique, but are they reliable as persistent data ID’s?

I want to change the date of publication of my already published posts to random dates within the range starting from 2015 till today.
$post->ID displays wrong ID
This one is pretty weird.

I use $term->count to display post count but it displays the total count of all type of custom posts attached to taxonomy…
