I’m using Python’s logging module to log some debug strings to a file which works pretty well. Now in addition, I’d like to use this module to also print the strings out to stdout. How do I do this? In order to log my strings to a file I use following code:

I have a program that interacts with the user (acts like a shell), and I want to run it using the Python subprocess module interactively.
That means, I want the possibility to write to standard input and immediately get the output from standard output. I tried many solutions offered here, but none of them seems to work for my needs.
I’ve always been amazed/frustrated with how long it takes to simply output to the terminal with a print statement. After some recent painfully slow logging I decided to look into it and was quite surprised to find that almost all the time spent is waiting for the terminal to process the results.

I have a python subprocess that I’m trying to read output and error streams from. Currently I have it working, but I’m only able to read from stderr after I’ve finished reading from stdout. Here’s what it looks like:
I have a simple c++ program that I’m trying to execute through a python script. (I’m very new to writing scripts) and I’m having trouble reading output through the pipe. From what I’ve seen, it seems like readline() won’t work without EOF, but I want to be able to read in the middle of the program and have the script respond to whats being outputted.
