As is suggested elsewhere, I am using redirectMode = ResponseRewrite in my custom error configuration so my custom error page can access the exception info. This has worked like a charm for some time.
I have folder on which i want to apply security like the current user who is using the site, can access that folder but if he is not currently logged in then he cannot see the content of that folder or files of that folder. I know we can do it in web.config file but i dont know how. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Anyone have any good tips on handling differences in web.config settings between environments? I’ve considered creating a ‘config’ folder in our source control system but outside of the web hierarchy, and having the deployment process copy the appropriate config files (web.dev.config,web.staging.config, web.production.config) into the web folder upon deployment. I’ve also seen posts on how to programmatically change the config settings (WCF endpoints, connection strings, etc) when the app starts.
