I have placed a media button as a post meta field to insert an image URL into a text field when Insert Into Page button is clicked. It works up to the point of opening the media repository window, selecting image and insert, however no value is passed to the input field.
If you click on the Text tab, you can see the content, but when you switch back to the Visual tab, it displays nothing. It’s not white text on white background either… it just has no content. The functionality works otherwise. I can enter or change content via the Text tab, and that works. But it never shows the content in the Visual tab.
I want the main WordPress post editor to appear below some of my meta boxes (generated by Advanced Custom Fields).
I’m a novice and looking to add the wp_editor to a custom metabox textarea field. I’ve looked seemingly everywhere for an complete example for writing a metabox with a textarea that uses the wp_editor. I am looking for a complete beginning to end example.

I’m not sure why I haven’t been able to find this, but does anyone know how to get the input of the TinyMCE editor? I am using it in the front end and want to be able to save whatever the user has typed into the TinyMCE to a database but cannot find the best way to capture that value.
I am using the *_add_form_fields action to add fields to a custom taxonomy. One of those fields is a wp_editor().
