I’ve been browsing all over google for a solution to this. I’m writing a custom post types plugin for work to log-in visitors that we get. I initially wrote a mock-up without custom post types, then I came around here from a google search and saw a screenshot that showed an example of custom post types to store information about Attorneys. It showed that someone redesigned the “add new”/”edit” page for custom post types with a whole new interface.
WordPress 3.5 changed the media management and now the Media Library edit screen uses the default post type UI. Taxonomies are very useful for WP installs with different users and attachments, giving more possibilities to find the attachment and/or add classification.
In order to avoid poor performance with multiple <script> tags I do concatenation of scripts regularly and produce one single bundle.min.js JS file and 'jsbundle' identifier.
In the Comments page (/wp-admin/edit-comments.php), every logged in user can see all the site comments.
So I’m using Starkers to base my next WP theme on and I’ve run into a small issue, I was including my own version of jQuery in the header.php file but when inspecting my site using Firebug I noticed jquery was being downloaded twice, I did a bit of digging and noticed that not only was I including the file but so was the wp_head() function.
I’ve been using the document_title_parts hook to change the page title for some front end pages. However, this doesn’t seem to work for the login, register and password management pages.
I am desperately looking for some way (any way) to set default “screen options” and metabox order through the functions.php file. does anyone have any help they can provide here?
