I’m a real newbie for ASP.NET web development, having a background in Java. A friend has an ASP.NET 3.0 deployment running on IIS. He can’t find the original project files created in Visual Studio 2008 and has asked me to give him a hand.
I do have .net 4.8 installed. When i create a new simple asp.net mvc application using visual studio 2019 and start the website using the builtin IIS-Express, it will add the following header:
I run an Azure web role in Full IIS mode. Requests are authorized with custom basic authentication.
I am trying to upload video files larger than 2GB on an ASP.NET MVC 3 project however the maximum file upload size for ASP.NET 4.0 seems to be at 2GB. Is there a way to exceed this limitation in ASP.NET/IIS? or what would another approach be to get around this?
We’re tracking the total time it takes for a request to be responded to. We implemented added custom header: request.headers.add("reqKey",key)
with an unique key to the request in Application_AcquireRequestState of our global.asax.cs.

I can’t seem to receive HTTP OPTIONS requests in my IIS6 hosted ASP.NET application. I’m testing it using a debug breakpoint (and file-log) in my Global.asax‘s Application_BeginRequest method. The breakpoint is never hit and the client gets a HTTP 403 Forbidden, I’m assuming from IIS6 directly (GETs and POSTs work fine btw).
I’m deploying a .NET Core application twice to the same server, once for QA, and once for Production. Currently I have each one of them using a different local user to run the IIS App Pool and have set the ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT variables to “qa” and “production” accordingly.

I’m using signalr to do some real-time events in my web application. I’m trying to force signalr to use the new websocket protocol but it won’t, even if I specify it.
