I have a new rails application which I have created under Windows 7 by going into a directory and typing “rails newapp”. The creation went fine, and when I access the root page, all is well. However, when I try to access a page that would access the database, I get this:
I’ve tried to run wampserver on my local side, but mysql server doesn’t run.
when I try to install service, it give me error. I searched the answer all day and found some answers on here and there.
I have Windows 7 32 bit and wanted to work on wordpress to host my own page but to do that I got virtual server WAMP Server V 2.5 and after installing it, icon in taskbar was orange and after right and left clicking, there was no menu.
I read many forums, disabled IIS and restarted and nothing. Also uninstalled, deleted directory on c:, installed again but same result, no menu, orange icon. I’m not a tech expert, so pls ‘customize’ your answers keeping this in mind. I have no idea how to check logs etc So pls let me know.

I installed MySQL using mysql-installer-5.5.20.0.msi on Windows 7.
From the cmd window, I run “mysqlshow -u root -p”. It asked for a password, then returned this error: “Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘localhost’ (10061)” This is a bad indication of partially failed/successful installation.

I have a strange problem in php MySQL:
I’ve got problem with connecting to MySQL database on my freshly installed Windows 7 machine.
I’m getting this error when I try to migrate my database.
I have installed localhost/server in my machine and I need to run a php script using windows schedule task. how do I add path in “Actions” tab in schedule task / cofigure the script to run for particular period?
There are other threads about how to install Imagick on Windows 7 but no help for me so far. (Maybe problems have came up with more recent versions)
