How to set up subdomains on IIS 7
I have a website sitting on an IIS 7 server:
WWW.example.COM

ASP.NET MVC Routing based on domain & hostname
I am new to ASP.NET MVC, most of my experience is on ASP.NET Webforms.

I’m attempting to write a rewrite rule for the following scenario.
How to create this type of subdomain on the fly like Blogger.com
Sometime ago I asked this question and I was told that the entry has to be made in DNS etc. I was not sure whether all this is really required or not. The kind of feature that I am looking for is shown in the screenshot below:

How do i do this in .NET? http://why.does.my.head.asplode.net/ I want to do something like ytmnd where each url is a different user generated page. I might need something as simple as pointing to a directory so dirname.mysite.com will redirect to http_public/userGenContent/dirname/
