I have two files, client.sh and server.sh. All the necessary data is on the server, which is sent to the client using netcat. The client just get these data and display it to the end user. The problem is, when I try to show the dialog loading screen from the server to the client:

The arch wiki recommends that images have Copy-On-Write disabled on the directory when using btfs. I do see that it would be a good idea if you had a lot of file read/writes. This question explores this idea. I know that VMWare will grow into different files and will write snapshots out which could be problematic when using Copy-On-Write.
I have a disk image, it’s a “whole” disk image, e.g., contains multiple partitions, and I want to clone just one of them (not the first one..) onto a partition on an external drive with multiple partitions on it (I’m also not cloning it onto the first partition of the disk…)
I know this question is similar to “Udev : renaming my network interface“, but I do not consider it a duplicate because my interface is not named via a udev rule, and none of the other answers in that question worked for me.

Sometimes, some time after I’ve backgrounded a process with bg in bash, when I press Enter in the same shell to redisplay the prompt (just to check that I’m still in bash when some output from the background process has been displayed), the background process seems to stop spontaneously.
I have a new 27″ iMac, on which I run Fedora 15 (with no Apple OS) — just boot straight to Linux.
