Why would you consider using ASP.Net MVC or standard ASP.Net with forms and controls for a web project? Apart from personal preference what would be the reasons? What sort of projects do you find more suitable for MVC and what projects for normal ASP.Net?
I have a simple model with 1 string property which I render on a simple view.
I have twice now seen a NullReferenceException logged from a Production ASP.NET MVC 4 web application – and logged on the wrong line. Not wrong by a line or two (like you would get with a PDB mismatch), but wrong by the length of the entire controller action. Example:
Is there supposed to be Intellisense for the new asp- tag helpers in Razor/MVC 6? I was following along on one of Shawn Wildermuth’s courses on Pluralsight and everything functions properly, but I thought I should be getting intellisense when I start typing asp- as an attribute on a tag.

I have a Web Api controller. It behaves very strange. When I use PostMan I can access the POST method on the Web Api but when I use HttpWebRequest from .net it returns (405) Method Not Allowed.

I am new to ASP.NET MVC, most of my experience is on ASP.NET Webforms.
I’ve used PagedList.MVC for pagination in my application. This is working fine. Pagination is working fine and also the OrderBy dropdownlist is working fine. When i select value from dropdownlist it gives the desired sorted result. I mean if i select A-Z then it sorts the items fine in ascending order but when i click 2nd page or next page it doesn’t sort any item and the url is become like this
