I have multiple author accounts on one of my WordPress installs. Often I will create a post, and set the author to be a different account. However, when I upload images into that post, their attachment page lists the author as my account. How can I set the author for posts, and have it carry over to the media associated with that post?

I’ve found similar questions here, however I can’t modify the answers to get images only from a certain post type – as the post type in those examples are “attachment” and not the name of a custom post type.
After you have uploaded an attachment in WordPress using the media upload screen, is there a hook or filter I can run after the image has been uploaded where I can get the path to the uploaded image so I can analyse it?
I am trying to make the inserted images from a post (single.php) to point to (single-attachement.php) an attachment page. So far I checked a post here on stackexchange and added this code on the top, before the header of single.php, just that it’s showing me a link to the last image on the page, instead of modifying the structure of the image link.
I’m creating a custom post form that is supposed to take an external image and uploads it to the media library and attach it to that post. This should be possible by using media_sideload_image, but I’m getting a blank page instead of working correctly, no error either. My code:
I’m using a lot of thumbnails but never the original file. To save space, I’d like to prevent the original from being saved on disk but only keep a thumbnail of 100px. How can I do this?
