I followed this tutorial about Nvidia drivers installation and I accidentally forget to do 5th point (disabling nouveau drivers), so now I can’t boot my system. I know I am idiot but is there anything I can do to fix this?
I configured and compiled Linux kernel with nouveau driver built-into kernel, i.e. with <*> as opposed to <M> when doing make menuconfig inside Linux kernel source directory.
I would like to know how to determine which driver (out of those below) is handling my touchpad:
I want to create a USB-to-USB data transfer system in Linux (preferably Ubuntu). For this I want to use no external hardware or switch (except this cable). It’s going to be like mounting a USB drive to a system, but in this scenario one of the Linux systems is going to be mounted on the other. How can I create this?
Sometimes, after some event that I can’t determine, my USB mouse gets stuttery – like the refresh rate drops down to about 5-10Hz. It still works fine other than that, but it’s incredibly annoying, and makes the computer feel really slow. It appears to happen frequently after a sleep, but it sometimes happens when the computer has just booted up. A reboot usually fixes it.
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 with Ubuntu 13.10 Installed. The device has a “Toggle TouchPad” button on the keyboard (F5). The keyboard’s F* buttons are reversed (so to get F5, I need to press Fn + F5, and F5 is actually the toggle key).
I’ve been tuning my Linux kernel for Intel Core 2 Quad (Yorkfield) processors, and I noticed the following messages from dmesg:
