I have a custom field called picture. On the media settings page I’ve set thumbnail size to 100×100. If upload an image called gecko.jpg, WordPress automatically resizes it and generates gecko-100x100.jpg. I want to use both the thumbnail size and original size, is it possible?
I want to apply jquery lazyload plugin. For this to work I have to create a new attribute which is data-src place there the src value and then replace the src value with a specific value '...nothing.gif'.

I am trying to make the inserted images from a post (single.php) to point to (single-attachement.php) an attachment page. So far I checked a post here on stackexchange and added this code on the top, before the header of single.php, just that it’s showing me a link to the last image on the page, instead of modifying the structure of the image link.
I believe your issue is that the value set for the global $content_width variable (which is 640px in Boilerplate and 584px in Twenty Eleven) is less than the width you’re specifying via Settings -> Media.
I used custom post type, where ‘thumbnail’, ‘medium’ and ‘large’ sized not required. I need to disable this sizes and create function or plugin, where i can set, which image size is required for each custom post type.
What is the difference between set_post_thumbnail_size and add_image_size? Is set_post_thumbnail_size for all images, and add_image_size for sizing images individually?
When I upload an image, it is automatically resized as I would expect, however the sizes for inserting the image seem to ignore the settings I’ve placed in Settings/Media.

I know there are plugins that fetch images from remote URL and store locally. I just want to know whether it is possible not to store image in Media Library yet use it as Featured Image?
