I’ve run into a bit of a puzzle and haven’t had much luck finding a solution. Right now I am (sadly) connected to the net via Verizon 3G. They filter all incoming traffic so it is impossible for me to open ports to accept connections.
I’m on Fedora 19 and I have a problem with ssh.
I have a development server, which is only accessible from 127.0.0.1:8000, not 192.168.1.x:8000. As a quick hack, is there a way to set up something to listen on another port (say, 8001) so that from the local network I could connect 192.168.1.x:8001 and it would tunnel the traffic between the client and 127.0.0.1:8000?
My home computer is behind an ISP-level NAT which does not allow me to host game servers as a result.
I have a service running on 127.0.0.1 with port 2222. I need to forward all requests to 192.168.2.2:2222 (outside IP) only from subnet 192.168.1.0/24 to 127.0.0.1:2222.
I was able to set up a network namespace, establish a tunnel with openvpn and start an application that uses this tunnel inside the namespace. So far so good, but this application can be accessed via a web interface and I cant’t figure out how to route requests to the web interface inside my LAN.
Consider the following situation:
NB: The OpenSSH clients I am using are all at version 7.2, so no RemoteCommand available.
I need to limit which ports can be remotely ‘ssh -R‘ forwarded by an user.
