On my new computer I have 2 screens connected on the igpu of a i7 processor, 1 using hdmi. the other using dvi. Both screens are the same but the one connected using hdmi has a wrong resolution inside X, and it can’t be selected inside the settings. How can this be solved?
The Linux’s display system uses multiple technology, protocols, extensions, applications, servers (daemon), drivers and concepts to achieve the windowing system for instance:
Xorg, Wayland, X11, OpenGL, RandR, XrandR, Screen Resolution, DPI, Display server, etc.
A few months ago, Samsung announced the Ativ Book 9 Plus, a pretty cool ultrabook with a screen resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels (QHD+).
