I’m running Debian Jessie (8.3) with the following pulseaudio
packages. As far as I know all sound related stuff (including pulseaudio
) corresponds to the default Jessie packages. I have not customized anything. Nor have I done anything with systemd
, which I know nothing about.
I have my machine connected over HDMI to a receiver. But when I try to use more than two channels with PulseAudio, I only get two. pacmd list cards
shows the card, but does not show an HDMI profile with more than two channels.
I need to create a virtual output in PulseAudio so as to be able to capture and stream audio from a specific source.
When I boot, PulseAudio defaults to sending output to Headphones. I’d like it to default to sending output to Line Out. How do I do that?
While following instructions, I loaded a module which creates an input device “Monitor of Null Output” and an output device “Null Output” using this command:
Say I have a card with these properties:
I have a set of nice wireless headphones which I use from time to time, in addition to my speakers and normal microphone.
I am running Fedora 24 with Gnome Shell. I try to pair my new Bose QuietComfort 35 over Bluetooth.
PulseAudio is always running on my system, and it always instantly restarts if it crashes or I kill it. However, I never actually start PulseAudio.
Not much else to this question: I would like to know what I need to create a PulseAudio systemd service to be run with systemd --user
.
