I would like to create dynamic images from html that I’m generating on website. I have code that generates a PSN Trophy Card, ab Xbox LIVE Gamer Card, a Steam Gamer Card, and an Xfire Gamer Card. Each card is put into its own div and built dynamically from server side code. Is there a way to capture a screenshot of a selected div on a webpage using C# and ASP.NET?
I’ve been using WebBrowser.DrawtoBitmap() in my asp.net page running in separate STA thread to capture web pages as an image. But I found that I’m getting blank images for few sites consistently. I’m aware that the method is not ‘officially’ supported but it would be nice if someone can provide me any reason or a work around for these blank images issue.
I want to take a screenshot via a python script and unobtrusively save it.
What’s the fastest way to take a screenshot on windows? PIL.ImageGrab is rather slow.. it takes between 4-5 seconds to take 30 screenshots of the same small window. Taking screenshots of the whole desktop is even slower.

About a month ago I switched from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to Arch and I’m quite happy with this decision. However, I miss some features with my new distro, especially Shift+printscr which in Unity allows selection of a screen region to be captured.
